With tinges of Audrey Hepburn, 24-year-old Carey Mulligan nominated for best actress Oscar

Carey Mulligan was nominated in the best actress category for An Education while  Helen Mirren got a nod for The Last Station.

Sandra Bullock was named alongside Mirren and Mulligan in the best actress category for The Blind Side.

Gabourey Sidibe was nominated for Precious while Meryl Streep wins her 16th record-breaking Oscar nomination for Julia & Julia.
